This service is extremely popular & for many years has provided a secure, reliable & effective way for a parent or another party to pay for a student's books, school supplies & other selected merchandise.

Simply call our toll-free number, 800-373-4727, to set up your account.

It takes only a few minutes to provide your student with convenience & security at a store you can trust. You supply us with a current Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express card number, expiration date & security code. You get the rewards points or any other benefits your card provides, your student gets their books & supplies. Plus there are no separate bank accounts to set-up and no need to continually add money to declining balance cards.

We keep all of your payment information securely on file for access when your student needs to shop. Students can use the account at any time during our regular business hours and we always require a photo identification card when accessing the account. You can be confident your personal information is securely managed by our professional service staff.

Frequently asked questions:

How are purchases made?

When the student needs to make a purchase he/she must come to our customer service desk & request the account information. A photo ID is required. Once verified, the customer is given an account payment document to take to the cash register to use as payment for the selected items. Our cashiers charge the items to the credit card on file & keep the payment information secure. At the end of the day the information will be returned to the customer service desk, ready for the next time the information is needed.

How are receipts handled?

When your student makes a purchase, he/she is given a copy of the cash register receipt. For security, the credit card number appearing on the receipt is truncated; only the last four digits appear. A copy of the receipt is also kept securely on file at our store. The student will be asked to sign the store copy of the receipt as proof that he/she made the purchase as authorized by the card holder.

What if an item needs to be returned?

We handle returns the same as sales. The account holder must present a photo ID to access the account. The return is processed & credit is issued back to the cardholder's credit card. The student will be given a copy of the return receipt. For security, the credit card number appearing on the receipt is truncated; only the last four digits appear. A copy of the receipt is also kept securely on file at our store.

Can the account be used for on-line purchases?

No, this process is for in-store purchases only. Secure credit card purchases can be made on our website, but the credit card information must be entered on the website at the time of the order.

What items can my student purchase with the store account?

We allow you to choose the items that best fit the needs of your student. You will designate one of the following categories: textbooks only, textbooks & school supplies only, or anything in the store (this would include clothing & Penn State souvenirs).

How long will my account remain active?

You designate how long your student may use the card. You'll be asked whether you want the student to use the information one time only, for one semester only, or for a number of consecutive semesters.

What if I need to change my card number or want to make changes to what I've previously authorized?

Making ANY changes to the account is as easy as calling 1-800-373-4727 & letting us know what needs to be changed. You can change your card information, your expiration date, the items permitted to be charged or the length of time you'd like us to keep the card on file. Any changes will be immediately made to your account so that your student can access the new information as needed.
